Six unforgettable nights in the White Mountains
A screen-free summer experience where teen girls build confidence, independence, resilience and genuine friendships through adventure, mindfulness, shared responsibility and a lot of fun.
July 10–16, 2027
July 16–22, 2027
White Mountains, New Hampshire
Three years of memories. Countless moments of growth.
Our 2024, 2025 and 2026 Teen Adventure & Mindfulness Retreats took us from Vermont to the coast of Maine and the mountains of the Berkshires.
Every retreat looked a little different, but the heart of it never changed.
There was laughter that echoed across lakes. Campfires and s'mores. Paddleboards, waterfalls, hikes and adventures. Yoga in beautiful places. Home-cooked meals. Dogs that became everyone's best friend. Inside jokes. Deep conversations. Girls cheering each other on. Sunsets that made everyone stop talking for a minute.
And every year, we watched something amazing happen. Teens arrived as individuals and left as a team—more confident, more independent, more connected and believing in themselves just a little bit more.
What will the 2027 retreat hold? I can't wait to find out!

Every photo tells a story - but the best part isn't what these girls did. It's who they became.
Of course, there will be incredible adventures, mountain sunsets, lake days, yoga, laughter, hot tub evenings and plenty of time outside. But the real magic happens in the moments in between.
-
It happens when a teen tries something she was convinced she couldn’t do.
-
When she cooks a meal from scratch and proudly serves it to the group.
-
When she speaks up for what she needs or encourages someone else through a difficult moment
-
It's when she realizes she can be away from home and be completely OK.
Somewhere during the week, the girls stop feeling like a group of individuals and become a team.
That is what this retreat is really about.

This is so much more than a summer camp

What changes during the week?
Confidence
The girls are encouraged to try new things, take manageable risks and discover that they are capable of more than they realized.
Independence
They spend time away from home, take responsibility for their belongings, share chores, help prepare meals and learn to navigate everyday challenges with growing confidence.
Resilience
Not every activity feels easy. Teens learn how to work through nerves, disappointment, discomfort and changing plans in a supportive growth-mindset environment.
Genuine friendship
Without phones constantly filling the quiet moments, the girls have space to talk, laugh, be bored, work things out and truly get to know one another.
Connection
Daily yoga, mindfulness, journaling and time in nature give teens an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with themselves.
Each day has a thoughtful balance of adventure, movement, connection and downtime.
The retreat includes:
-
Outdoor adventure activities
-
Lake time and swimming
-
Hiking and exploring
-
Daily yoga and mindfulness
-
Guided journaling and workshops
-
Group games and creative activities
-
Cooking and eating meals together
-
Quiet time, laughter and plenty of rest
-
Evenings in the hot tub or watching the sunset
The exact adventure activities are still being finalized. As always, they will be carefully chosen to challenge, inspire and empower the girls in a safe and supportive way.
What the week looks like...

TWO RETREAT WEEKS
Week One
Saturday, July 10–Friday, July 16
Six nights
Week Two
Friday, July 16–Thursday, July 22
Six nights
The heart of each retreat will remain the same, but each week will include its own mix of participants, workshops, adventures and experiences.
Stay for both weeks
For teens who would love an extended experience, there is also the option to attend both weeks.
Teens staying for the full two weeks will receive a $500 discount.

A WEEK WITHOUT PHONES
Phones are not part of the daily retreat experience.
That may sound daunting for your teen at first, but it quickly becomes one of the most valuable parts of the week.
Without the constant pull of notifications, scrolling and group chats, teens have time to talk, notice what is around them, laugh together, be creative and even experience a little boredom. And yes, they survive!
Parents receive daily updates and photos, and teens are welcome to call home for 10 minutes each evening if they would like.
FOOD & SHARED RESPONSIBILITY
Meals are an important part of retreat life.
The girls help plan, prepare and serve food together, using fresh and local ingredients whenever possible. They may make pancakes for breakfast, homemade dinners, desserts from scratch and plenty of retreat snacks
.
Cooking together builds confidence, teamwork and practical life skills, but it also creates some of the best conversations and funniest memories of the week.
Dietary needs and allergies are discussed with families before the retreat.
WHO IS THIS RETREAT FOR?
The Teen Adventure & Mindfulness Retreat is designed for girls who are ready (or almost ready) to:
-
Spend six nights away from home
-
Try new things
-
Take part in outdoor adventures
-
Share rooms and communal spaces
-
Help with meals and daily responsibilities
-
Participate in yoga, mindfulness and group activities
-
Be part of a supportive, inclusive community
-
Spend the week without regular phone access
Your teen does not need to be experienced in yoga, particularly athletic or naturally outgoing. She simply needs to be willing to take part!
Led by Louise Parker
I’m Louise, the founder of Louise Simply Fit and a yoga and mindfulness teacher specializing in tweens and teens.
I created this retreat because I wanted teens to have the kind of space that is increasingly hard to find: time away from pressure, phones and packed schedules, with an introduction into mindfulness, meditation, challenges to grow and enough support to feel sage.
My role is part retreat leader, part yoga teacher, part adventure cheerleader, part cook and part retreat-mom (I am a mom of 3 tweens & teens myself!).
Every part of the week is intentionally planned to help teens feel included, supported and capable.
I have successfully led three years of overnight Teen Adventure & Mindfulness Retreats and six years of Tween Summer Yoga Camps, creating safe, supportive and memorable experiences for hundreds of young people.

I am CPR and First Aid certified, trained in Teen Mental Health First Aid, hold a Master's degree in Psychology, maintain a clean driving record and a clean CORI background check. References are available upon request.
What parents often notice after the retreat
Parents frequently tell me that their teen comes home:
-
More confident
-
Proud of what she accomplished
-
More willing to try new things
-
More independent
-
Excited about new friendships
-
Full of stories
-
Slightly more appreciative of her own bed
The retreat ends after six nights, but the confidence, memories and friendships often last much longer!

TESTIMONIALS
SHAUNA, mom to Sadie
Teen Retreat 2024
We could not have asked for a better retreat experience for our daughter. Louise puts so much care, intentionality, and integrity into her programming. Every day, the girls had opportunities to connect with themselves and to each other while still having a lot of fun. We appreciated the level of communication and the ability to follow along on the adventures in the shared photo album. I am amazed at the diversity of experiences our daughter was able to have and am so thankful she has Louise in her life.

Teen Retreat 2025
“I don’t want to go back to real life where everyone’s on their phones again, feeling like I need to be attached to my phone again and having to reply to messages. At home, I pick up my phone without even thinking, and then I’m stuck in it because I can’t figure out what else to do. Part of me wishes someone would just take it away, but I know I’d feel left out too. This week felt so different — doing the coloring, the bracelets, just like we used to. Being with friends without our phones was so nice. Being outside so much more, laughing, playing games, reading, all without the distraction of the phone . I want more of that. I also loved doing yoga in so many different ways—SUP yoga on the lake, aerial yoga in the studio, even goat yoga.”

Teen Retreat 2025
We’re so grateful to Louise for offering our teen such a unique
opportunity to step out of her comfort zone and connect with nature, build friendships, and grow her confidence. This is not your average summer camp experience! Louise has designed such a special yoga and mindfulness retreat for teens. She selects beautiful accommodations, plans daily epic adventures, sparks creativity with art projects, and builds independence and mindfulness through daily yoga practice. Our daughter came home feeling well-rested and happy. She is already looking forward to next year’s retreat.
