TEEN YOGA CLASSES

For teens who identify as female+ in Arlington, MA

WHY YOGA IS SO IMPORTANT FOR YOUR TEEN:

Today’s teens are facing real challenges. Between the pull of social media, constant screen time, and the pressures of growing up, many young people are missing out on opportunities for face-to-face connection and tools to manage stress. Teen yoga offers a supportive space to build grounding techniques, resilience, and meaningful connection - skills that matter now more than ever.

Here are just a few of the benefits of yoga & mindfulness for teens:

  • Supports mental health – reduces stress and anxiety through mindfulness and breathwork

  • Builds physical strength & flexibility – promotes healthy movement without pressure or competition

  • Both manages the symptoms of stress & anxiety AND re-wire the brains

  • Boosts self-esteem – encourages teens to value what their bodies can do, not how they look

  • Improves body image – fosters self-acceptance and respect for their unique strengths

  • Grows confidence – mastery of poses and new skills translates into everyday resilience

  • Enhances emotional regulation – teaches calming techniques to manage big feelings and stress

  • Learn to trust their abilities, through mastering new poses, getting stronger & more flexible

In short: yoga helps teens feel strong, calm, and capable — inside and out.

Louise offers 2 types of Teen Yoga Classes to support your teen:

The Yoga For Female+ Teen Athletes class will blend mindfulness, yoga, stretching, conditioning, meditation, visualization, growth mindset & journaling. The class is designed for the teen who is focused, and who wants to stretch tight muscles, create an inner calm and have fun doing it! This class is a great choice for your off-season athlete to maintain conditioning, or your athlete who needs to build flexibility into their program.

The Teen Yoga & Mindfulness class is designed to help your high schooler slow down, breathe, and connect — with themselves and with friends. In this calm and creative class, we’ll explore meditation, breathwork, gentle yin-style yoga stretches, community projects, mindful coloring, and meaningful conversations. A space to rest, reset, and build community… with a little fun along the way.

TESTIMONIALS

IZZY, 14

“Just for 1 hour a week I didn’t feel broken or unwanted, I felt like I belonged. I made it through each week because I knew there was always another Monday coming up where for 60 minutes I could be myself. For that hour, I mattered.”

SADIE, 14

“I’ve been going to teen yoga for 4 years now and it’s honestly gotten me through so much. No matter what was happening at school or in life, I always knew Mondays meant yoga + sharing 3 things we’re grateful for. Having that little thing to hold onto when everything else felt crazy made such a difference. That little ritual became something I could count on, something steady to hold onto. I don’t know what I would have done without it.”

AMARA, 14

“It's not just about yoga, even though I love it when we do yoga. I love it when it's calm, I can relax without my phone, and we get to do our gratitude list.

ANONYMOUS, 13

“It’s honestly the only hour in my week where I don’t think about my phone — and I actually love it.”

to admit that!)

ELIZABETH, 14

“Louise’s voice is like magic, like ASMR. When she does a meditation with us at the end of the class it is amazing, I just float away.”

ANONYMOUS, 16

“Yoga seriously helps my body feel less tight — I didn’t realize how much I needed this stretching. I also didn’t realize I couldn’t touch my toes anymore, when did that happen?? I hope it helps for soccer

K - mom to A, age 15

A has enjoyed her time with you and the class so much! She really is in her teens and I was having trouble finding a space for her. Thanks to our friend we found you and she looked forward to your class every week. She loved it so much! Thank you for providing this space for teen girls - what a gift to the community you are.  So much gratitude to you!!!

Gloria - mom to Clare, age 14

Teen yoga has been such an important part of the week for my daughter, it's the 1 class she looks forward to every week. She always comes home calmer, less anxious and less drawn to her phone. It gives her space to just be herself, to build skills to deal with daily stress and I’ve seen her confidence grow week after week. I’m so grateful she has this practice at such an important age.”

Shauna - mom to Sadie, age14

Thank you for another wonderful year of Teen Yoga. Sadie always came home smiling and energized after your classes. My heart swelled when I saw that you had given each member of the class an award for the year (and a personal message alongside it!). As a parent, we hope that the people who teach our children know them as individuals and see them for who they are, and I really appreciate that you are one of those people in Sadie's life.
